Stand by Me !!

Image
After a tiring day at work, I put my son to sleep, when clock ticks 2am, I open the refrigerator to sip some coke for the “ME” time. And the marketing campaign of coca cola writes on the bottle – When words fail , #SayItWithCoke “STAND BY ME” I am just amused by the different meanings of this phrase – stand by me. 1.        Asking someone to be right beside me – stand BY ME 2.        Someone who could have been just supported by me – STAND by me 3.        I could have been totally forgotten by someone – STANDBY me OMG! such variance in all meanings. This clearly indicates the freedom we have while taking out the inference from anything in life. The pizza has same ingredients, but still, we tend to choose our own slice. We all know that all slices taste same but still we feel to excel the right to choose our own slice. Obviously, one may have that extra piece of ol...

LIFE : Live Free!

L ife I sn’t F ree E verywhere. The sooner one understands this fact is where the life actually begins. Every living being has its own perception of what life is and what it takes to live it the way it is meant to be. However, life is a mystery that unfolds only after a crucial period is spent exploring all other fragments, which may or may definitely not have any relevance to life post self-enlightenment. Yet, we all force ourselves to get trained into living a pre-defined existence. A person may not get lured by the charming glitter of the outside world and may want to continue his/her connect with the inside. It is this stubborn desire which keeps the uniqueness upright. But, most of us ...

Women Empowerment - My Thoughts!

Image
Women empowerment to me comprises of all activities which lead to women getting entitled to better share of authority on their lives and decisions. But then, why do we need to empower women? If the need persists, it directly implies that women are weaker breed of society and hence they need approval from the stronger gender. This raises eyebrows of a huge section of women, including me, who do not consider themselves to be in need of any such approval. ‘I am able enough to decide for my life’; ’I do not need help to fight my odds’; ‘Who are you to allow me permissions on my own right to live?’; ‘Women empowerment – grow up dude’ These are some of the thoughts which shout out from my nerves on hearing of women empowerment. This is because I am blessed to have a father who sent me to the same school as my brother; my mother served same food to me as my brother; I got the education basis my own choices; I married a guy who respects my space and does not...
